Q. Do you have distributors
near my location?
A. Everything is shipped out of our Sioux
Center, IA warehouse. We can ship any method you prefer (i.e. USPS,
FedEx, UPS) and have
it arrive exactly when you want.
Q. How long do I get the unit?
A. We have 2-day and 7-day rentals.
You get to use the unit either the full 2 or 7 days. Your rental
period does not include shipping time. Also, you can rent the unit for longer
periods if needed.
Q. Can I operate the unit when I am in the
house?
A. Yes & No. Our rental units are
very powerful & generate too much ozone to be tolerated comfortably.
We recommend letting the unit run when you are away at work or gone for a
weekend. If you can isolate certain rooms, you can use the machine in
that room with all the doors closed, while being present in adjacent rooms.
Q. Can my pets & plants be in the
ozonated room?
A. Pets should be removed from the ozonated
environment since they may not like the ozone smell. Plants should
be okay if they are not exposed to ozone continuously (> than 3 days).
Fish will be fine.
Q. What is the best location?
A. The best location is to put the
ozone generator in the room where the odors are the strongest. If the odor
is present throughout the entire house, or apartment, place the unit near
the central air intake to facilitate mixing of the ozone throughout the
area.
Q. Will the ozone go through
walls?
A. No. Ozone cannot
pass through walls freely. It can only occupy open
spaces and small cracks. Traditional cleaning methods only clean what is
reachable by a cloth or spray. Ozone can get into tiny cracks and crevasses
that contain odors. This is why ozone is so good at oxidizing odors
after everything as been cleaned. It oxidizes odors onsite with no left
over contaminants.
Q. Will ozone ruin my leather furniture
or electronic equipment?
A.
Ozone
is a powerful oxidizer but the concentrations generated from our rental
units will not harm any materials or equipment inside your house. We
guarantee it! Concentrations required to oxidize materials are on
the order of 1,000s of parts per million. The highest concentration
coming out of our largest rental unit (OMZ-5000-HFT)
are only 10 PPM.
Q. Will the
odor removal be permanent?
A.
Yes. Using our rental units will be permanent as long as the source of the
odor is gone. We have rented out units hundreds of times and it
works best on smoke, urine and stale odors. Musty odors can also be
oxidized, but may take a few days longer. Fecal matter odors can removed as
long as the source of the fecal matter is gone.
