316L Stainless Steel Use in the OMZ Line
The corona plate takes the most abuse inside the ozone
generator. Therefore, only 316L Stainless Steel (SS) is used for the high
voltage and grounding grid. 316L SS is the highest grade of stainless
steel we use inside our units.
304 & 316L stainless steel are the most common metals used
to corona chamber construction. 316L is a
molybdenum-bearing grade of stainless steel. This gives it better
corrosion resistance than just 304 SS.
